Link below gacked from William Gibson's blog.

A PIPA survey from September demonstrates quite disturbingly that Bush supporters really don't have a good grasp of what his actual policies are. On the other hand, Kerry supporters (and undecided voters, even) seem to know where he stands. Here's the full pdf of the survey report. Good to read not only for the numbers, but also if you want to get the candidates' positions straight. (If, that is, your mind hasn't been made up already.)

In a nutshell: it's proof that people listening to Bush will hear only what they want to hear.

(This applies to all listeners, though. For instance, when I hear him say "it is our command from the Almighty to spread freedom throughout the globe," I'm sure that many find the statement stirring, but what I actually end up hearing is "we are going to embark on a destructive path of nation-building." I'm as closed-minded as the rest of us.)

I find it deeply frightening that so many people can be listening to the same words, and be divided right down the middle as to what they actually mean.

Half of us seem to be delusional. Nothing to do, I suppose, but cross your fingers and hope that your half wins.

EDIT: Even Eminem is getting involved in election politics.
