Illustration Friday's theme this week was "Flight," and for a week I was unable to draw anything but (badly rendered) airborne superheroes. I blame

pseudotheist. Finally I managed to pull together something sickeningly cute, instead.

...all right, now that that's over with, I'm going back to my piano. It got tuned yesterday. I have been tormenting my neighbors since. Fortunately, the walls here seem to be quite thick.

It's Chinese New Year! Last night I had hotpot with the family; we gorged ourselves as we do every lunar New Year. (Really, it's all about food.) No cash-filled lucky red envelopes for me this year, alas; apparently once you start making your own salary, it's time to start giving instead of getting. It's definitely more fun to be a kid.

In honor of the new year (and Illustration Friday's theme this week), I dug out the colored pencils.
