book-moving woes

I'm making a resolution: I'm not going to buy any more books. Or more specifically, I'm not going to buy any more books unless I'm certain that I'm going to read them and enjoy them, not once but multiple times, for comfort or solace or escape or what have you. Because if I'm going to pack them into boxes and hump them up and down stairs and into and out of moving vans, then I had better love them. And I know darn well I don't love all of these books to that degree. I'm getting rid of any books that don't fit that requirement.

(Fine, some of them are textbooks. But those are only two of the printer-paper-boxes. The fact that there are fourteen other such boxes is just killing me.)

Unfortunately, I won't have the opportunity to winnow through the books and pare them down without moving them again. I'm just doomed.
