not pr0n!

Anyone want to geek out about not pr0n with me? I've gotten to level 10.

You're a horrible person. I have to pretend to work here you know... level 6

O.k. So I'm on level 12, but not sure how much I'm abusing the hints. When I use the google bar, and the first link I come up with is a hints page for the puzzle, I sometimes think the knowledge they expect you to use is too obscure. Right now I know exactly what they're tryign to get me to see, but I haven't been able to generate a useful username and password with it yet...

yeah, the puzzle is annoyingly popular and I've been doing my best to avoid the walkthrough links. But I'm still stuck on the google-less 10, so I can only commiserate so far.

Glad you're having fun, though.

Oh, I've just been using the forum since long before 10. It just seemed silly that I'd be openly engouraged to use google to "find clues on the internet", but the only links I could find were to people talking about the puzzle. And this pissed me off too:

They're too new?!!? What organization preceded the XIWT?!! Oh, you mean I need a stupid alternate german name for a candy bar (which I've never heard of and only found because google took me to the comments page on a Livejournal talking about the puzzle, and I still couldn't find any useful info on it using google after I knew what it was); I was supposed to figure that out how? nto that I'm bitter about that puzzle or anything, but that made me decide it wasn't worth the effort to try to "work thruogh it on my own". BTW, if you want a hint on 10, let me know.

OK, so I'm sneaking furtive glances over my shoulder to make sure my supervisor isn't walking by . . . you are truly evil!

heh, heh. (If only I could load it at work -- I think the word "pr0n" turns on the automatic blocking software.) Enjoy!
