Dry snow has to be my favorite sort of snow for weekday mornings. It sweeps right off the car, light and fluttery like cellophane glitter, and in no time at all, you're in the vehicle and on the road. No ice to scratch off the windows, no wet snow to pile up around your feet. The sun came out and made everything all pretty and sparkly. Beauty without the inconvenience.
(Of course I would prefer not to have to go to work at all, but we can't all work for the public school system.)
I was a little chilly when I got to my desk this morning, but a tall steaming hot chocolate was just the thing to thaw me out. And Scalzi's blog entry on Ted Haggard's being "cured" of homosexuality was also quite cheering.
