Have not blogged in ages. Am unsure as to how to break the silence gracefully, but I figure that a lazy rainy Saturday would be the day to do it.
In the spirit of
melindaloquita, I present things that brought me joy today: a cat that follows me into every room. practicing the holiday music for camerata. surprise morning call from Hemingway fils. pumpkin spice tea (thank you,
summer_queen, for making me curious enough to try it). someone on NPR saying "you can't just put a feather in your hat and expect to pass yourself off as macaroni." the Master and Commander book I'm reading. playing puzzle fighter with K, who says things like "I just had a chain 2 combo; why are you feeling no pain?"
Also, I finally had my intermediate design review last Friday, for which I've been prepping furiously all month. I think I'm becoming better at my work; the comments this time around were less "you should do this, because to do otherwise is stupid" and more "your approach is decent, but here's something you should consider." Definitely came away from that with a good feeling.
Now I have three days to resolve all the issues that were brought up, so there'll probably be more overtime in store for me. But at least I'm enjoying myself.
edit: Sister just sent me a video of baby panda's latest checkup. Adorable.
edit2: Stitch people, check out Titbits.ca. Link courtesy my mother.
